- Rye whiskey50 ml
- Sweet vermouth12.5 ml
- Dry vermouth12.5 ml
- Angostura bitters2 dash
Stir rye with equal sweet and dry vermouth and bitters. Strain up.
Ask the bartender: “Perfect, rye, lemon twist not cherry.”
Early 20th c. 'perfect' = half sweet, half dry.
